Online UK ADHD services require a patient to have a physical examination before they can prescribe any medication relating to the condition.
This typically involves measuring your height and weight, pulse and blood pressure, along with listening to your heart with a stethoscope.
In some cases, providers may require an ECG and urine screen in addition to these checks.
Private GP Services offers the ADHD physical assessment. We are unable to initiate your medication, but once you have been stabilised on your medication, we can takeover your prescribing.
We can help you explore your symptoms and if needed, refer you to services that can help you ultimately gain a diagnosis for your neurodiversity concerns. We see children and adults.
Our experienced UK doctors provide thorough ADHD physical assessments for adults and children for those patients who have seen a psychiatrist and need a physical examination before medication is started. Whatever your age our ADHD physical assessments are designed to streamline you getting the treatment you need from your psychiatry team.
ADHD physical assessments are carried out by our expert clinicians around the country at our clinics. You can book an appointment online , by selecting an appointment slot and type that suits your needs. You can also book an appointment over the phone by calling us on 0330 053 3745.
Once you are diagnosed by your psychiatrist, they will usually discharge you to a GP under ‘shared care’. We can take over prescribing medication. If you are on controlled drug medication we will guide you on how to obtain this safely and most cost effectively. We can perform the regular monitoring checkups. Once a year you will need to return to your psychiatry clinic.

What a fab practice - from reception who raised my query with the GPs, arranged for me to email details through, and then to the GP (Dr Peck) calling me back the same day with a treatment plan and advice. Real service and empathy.
I was very impressed by the staff in the private GP services and the service offered. They made sure my concerns were settled and approved all my terms therefore, I'd always consider and recommend this place.
The receptionist was lovely and helped me get an appointment the same afternoon. Staff were highly professional, polite and friendly. Dr was extremely engaged and didn’t feel rushed in my appointment, will definitely be booking again in the future.
